Netflix

So Netflix has hit Canada, for 7.99 a month you get some arguably limited in selection tv and movies. Arguably limited but in it's favor that's a whole lot cheaper than Shaw and what they transmit is really really bad - both in content and quality of transmission. A recent experiment with our PVR switching between HD and normal transmissions indicated that the quality is not that much better through the HD PVR channels. Certainly not what i'm used from the UK.

Anyway, give Netflix a go, it is stifled by Canadian broadcast licensing but it is better than what you pay $$$$ for with cable broadcasters.
